Technical Lead for a Data Led Software Product

This is an opportunity for someone who is highly technical, customer facing and keen to develop their career to lead a product development team using cloud technologies, AI and best practice to deliver rapid, high quality results to a number of customers. This product is SAAS  but has bespoke elements with it.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a firm grasp of the technologies listed below, and understanding and practical experience of development methodologies, a pragmatic approach to product development and a track record of successful customer engagements.

The candidate is expected to have further opportunities to grow within the organization and in order to achieve this they will need to have excellent collaborative skills with colleagues, managers and those in the team.

They will need to be articulate, self-starting, transparent, honest and enthusiastic about technology. The ideal candidate will be someone who is genuinely interested in learning about new technologies in their own time, but understands the risks and benefits of applying them in a professional situation.  They do not need to know everything about everything, but need to be able to communicate effectively and respect the voices of others on the team.

The role is based  in our offices in Wiltshire (which are beautiful) and the successful candidate will be expected to be on site at least  three days a week.  Whilst we are happy to be flexible and accommodating, this is a core requirement and will not diminish over time.

MUST HAVES

• Application development experience (language not important)
• Excellent grasp of Python 
• Proven experience in using AWS and Azure tools. (This is not a dev ops role but we do expect an understanding of the dev ops functions and practical experience of using AWS/ Azure services )
• Technical lead experience 
• Experience of agile methodologies
• Experience of large scale data engineering projects - focussed on performance and optimization rather than ETL 
• Experience of running customer meetings both in a requirements and a technical pre sales capacity
• An open mind
• A transparent attitude to your work
• Some prompt engineering experience 
• Experience with and understanding of integrations with AI models via a range of options for example : Sagemaker, Bedrock, Llama c++ , hugging face , open ai

NICE TO HAVES 

• AWS / AZURE certification
• SNOWFLAKE experience and /or certification 
• ELASTICSEARCH or OPENSEARCH experience 
• High level knowledge of / experience in React and / or c#
• Practical hands on experience training a model
